The Digest ranked top VoIP providers and reported six leaders within the VoIP industry, all competing for a share of the 1.5 billion-subscriber market. These major VoIP providers are: Charter Communications, Cablevision, Time Warner, Comcast, Skype and Vonage.

The one-year snapshot of Time Warner Cable performance is almost identical to Charter and Cablevision, with a generally constant level/upward trend throughout 2008, until mid-September when the stock declined, as the others did, by over 50% of its original stock value.

Time Warner Cable only began trading on the New York Stock exchange in March of 2007, so there is no long-term comparison for this company.
